She's soaking an egg in vinegar (I cannot remember if it is vinegar water or just vinegar). Anyway the acetic acid in the vinegar breaks down the eggs shell but leaves he membrane beneath the shell in tact. Kikis in mad scientist mode again. She wants to see if she can remove the spots from a quail egg to make it easier to candle.

I was sitting inside when I heard Negan crowing and I thought nothing unusual, then I heard a cracky-crow and wouldn’t you know it, the EE was crowing.![]()
Oh yes, actually she walked on a leash and was completely litter box trained.Awesome you saved him! What was he like as a pet?
I prefer birds to anything really. When I retire and I’m looking for something to do I want to have a injured wildlife bird to preserve and rooster sanctuary. We have 10 acres and we’re trying to buy a 20 acre plot next to us from the county and that’s what I want to do with it. I love all kinds of birds. I too, have a tendency for the unconventional and unwanted petsWell that’s good to hear, I’ve got a soft spot for the pets no one tends to like lol.
What makes a “good” pet is relative! Birds aren’t my favorite pets but they certainly are a wonderful hobby. I’ve been around pet skunks, just never owned one.
OMG! You guys are slaying me today.I love how the conversation is flowing seamlessly from hermaphrodites to fried chicken & back.
I've almost showered my computer in coffee a couple times.
Oh & @Pugsabi you are on a roll! You're killing me!!!![]()

I too, have a tendency for the unconventional and unwanted petsIt turns out my talent in life is getting what other people consider mean animals to come around and be sweet little angels to me. There are quite a few around my place but nobody else can touch from birds to cats but perhaps the meanest is a little black cat that’s the love of my life. And until I got her seven years ago at three weeks old, I was definitely not a cat person. So I get your fondness for the unwanted
