➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

She isn’t close to laying yet so egg withdrawal isn’t a problem. I know it looks fungal but none of the others show anything, and it’s only on the top of her comb. It’s so weird! Maybe it’s just really dry?

You’re good Tes! :) It’s been hectic around here too. I’ll see what I can find around here for some antifungal

I was just trying to come
think of an easy way you could start being proactive and rule out some things. It could very well be something other than fungus, but treating for that topically is a great place to start.

Not all fungals are terribly contagious, but I’ve got no idea specifically what it could be. Good thing antifungals are probably the easiest/safest thing to apply for the heck of it haha.
Hope it works!

I have a saving grace... I LOVE pie, but it must be homemade by someone who isn't into making it too sweet. So, I'm picky... what of it?
This is one of my biggest secret negative qualities hahaha. I’m horrendously picky, BUT to my credit I grew up in an “eat it or starve” household, so at least I don’t complain.

Same. Eat it or go to bed hungry.
My mom always made everything from scratch. Bread, pizza dough, etc... she even ground her own flour. We made our own yogurt from our goat milk and raised rabbits for meat and had chickens for eggs. We had a big garden and canned and froze every year. I never realized that this upbringing turned me into a food snob until recently. But, a snob I am.
What kind of picky are you? Like legit picky? Or snob?

I wish I were that self sufficient! I honestly admire people who maintain this kind lifestyle. It's my life's goal to be more like this, but my chickens and a small garden is the closest I've ever come.

I try, but I am nowhere near my mom. She did all this with three little kids. My mom is a badass.
