Ahem well, since you asked, I am a “zooarchaeologist.” I study animal bones found at archaeological sites. And I use the information I gather to understand past environments, people’s diet, hunting methods, religious practices etc. etc.

Anthropologists study people. The field of anthropology is made up of four sub-fields: ethnography, linguistics, biological/evolutionary anthropology, and archaeology. Linguist study language, bio/ev anthro focuses on human biology and evolution, ethnologists study the cultures of living people, and archaeologists study ancient “material culture” ie people’s stuff. Bones are a type of stuff.
