Your hatchlings have company Kiki. This is what I've been working on most of the afternoon. Our Speckled Sussex hen showed up with babies. She had her twin check in for her during beak count so we wouldn't know she was MIA. I went searching for the nest and found one fresh hatch and four viable eggs. Put the baby with Mom and siblings in the brooder, and have been egg-sitting since.

No one says red Easter egger means male btw or at least I didn't. What I said was that with males you will typically see red wing leakage on any color EE. The original conversation regarding that had to do with her white one and I told her if she saw red on the wings that was USUALLY a telltale sign of a male. With an all red EE I'm sure it's a little trickier. I think some hatcheries have mostly red EE a lot like the one in this pic. Privett I know does. (Btw I hope this doesn't sound snippy bc I'm not meaning to be i just want to make myself clearly understood)

No worries. Just wanted to give Tes hope. Not trying to argue with anyone about stuff I'm learning.

X2 she's really pretty!
We thank you.

Took daughters and boys to the feed store and told them to pick out 6 of the chipmunks. These are the ones we got. Now that I know to look for white ones with blue feet, I'll have to try that next time.

We had fun. Can't believe they all wanted to go pick out chicks.
