➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Not directly into their mouth. Drops on the side like with ND.
That means they have to handle/watch the chicks even more closely which could be a good thing but I think you should tell them to make a little waterer. The chicks need to learn how to drink for themselves and doing it with the syringe makes it much more likely that someone might get too much water or water up the nose or something could go wrong.

Get a mayo jar or any kind of shallow jar lid.
hold.

I used to cross stitch quite a bit and I remember doing latch hook (with just short pieces of yarn), but just looked up the rug hooking and it looks like something I could get into!
I’m just starting but find it relaxing. I like the primitive style as it doesn’t have to be perfect. Slop is kinda my thing. LOl

ETA cross stitch makes me Crazy, too detailed I admire peeps that have that kind of patience.

Even something this shallow.

I made them remove the waterer and they now have to syringe feed water until I get back.
I did not because I've used this waterer with newborn banties before without issue.
I’d probably be more
Concerned about someone untrained syringe feeding water, too easy to aspirate and would they get enough water?

I'll try to problem solve when I get home. I'll take pictures of setup and sick chick and loop y'all in with a post on this thread or a new thread.
Idk what is going wrong here. I have never had any of these problems in my 4 years of chick raising.
