I don't get sick of peaches... but, no. It was a trip to Yachats, Oregon. Great time with the cousins and company.
Also, I did edit my post - pretty big to have a freaking house delivered!!! It's so cute - I love the little kitchen.

I've been working on getting permits for everything since March. The damn county is putting up all kinds of roadblocks and taking their sweet time.

When I finally get the building permit (hopefully this week) I've got contractors on hold to come in and build a grade beam on pile foundation (3' crawl space). They are also going to build up my drive (currently a hay field) so that the movers can come back, load it onto the truck again, get it up a hill & slide it onto the foundation.

ETA: once the foundation is in, it needs 2 weeks to cure before the house can go on it.

We have been building houses here in NOLA 3' off the ground for centuries, I think it makes the cottages look really cute. That 3' also comes in handy for fixing plumbing, storage space, etc. What fun when it is finished.

The contractor kept wanting to do 2'. We kept insisting on 3. We finally got our way. Evidently 3' is also the perfect height for the movers to slide it onto the foundation.

Just summer?
I have been living with a bun all year for a while now.
Soooo easy.

Well mine only got long enough to put up at the beginning of summer.

175 pages later and I'm caught up... only to leave again and fall behind another (likely) 200 pages.

What I've gleaned from those 175 pages:

1. @Tesumph looks like Emma Watson with her pixie hair.
2. @KikisGirls cleans her dog's water bowl on a daily basis. AND her chicken waterer, also daily. She is completely insane.
3. @Cyprus is having some caretaker issues and straight bad luck with some new hatchlings.
4. Tessie lost a rooster to a snake (great necropsy pics, btw). I learned not only what a snake attack looks like but also how rooster testes appear. I'm glad it was the EE you couldn't stand and not one of the favorites.
4. @littleprairieheartsfarm had some doggie issues. Hope your pup is on the mend.
5. @Pugsabi has the most terrifying napping companion I have ever seen.

I returned home to a missing rooster and a greenhouse full of nearly wilted plants as well as some very hungry pheasants (they were completely out of food). I give mom a fail for watering though I was able to revive the plants and they will be fine.
RIP Marilyn Manson. You were a good roo - you will be missed.

ETA: @The Farmers' Daughter literally got a house delivered!!! It's so cute! I love old farm houses - congrats!

I get Emma Watson a lot, especially when my hair is shorter.
