➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

175 pages later and I'm caught up... only to leave again and fall behind another (likely) 200 pages.

What I've gleaned from those 175 pages:

1. @Tesumph looks like Emma Watson with her pixie hair.
2. @KikisGirls cleans her dog's water bowl on a daily basis. AND her chicken waterer, also daily. She is completely insane.
3. @Cyprus is having some caretaker issues and straight bad luck with some new hatchlings.
4. Tessie lost a rooster to a snake (great necropsy pics, btw). I learned not only what a snake attack looks like but also how rooster testes appear. I'm glad it was the EE you couldn't stand and not one of the favorites.
4. @littleprairieheartsfarm had some doggie issues. Hope your pup is on the mend.
5. @Pugsabi has the most terrifying napping companion I have ever seen.

I returned home to a missing rooster and a greenhouse full of nearly wilted plants as well as some very hungry pheasants (they were completely out of food). I give mom a fail for watering though I was able to revive the plants and they will be fine.
RIP Marilyn Manson. You were a good roo - you will be missed.

ETA: @The Farmers' Daughter literally got a house delivered!!! It's so cute! I love old farm houses - congrats!

:frow CONAN!!!
We missed you!
Hurry back.

Sorry for your losses.:(

A manufactured home is built somewhere else and moved on to your land.
A trailer is a trailer.
A house that gets moved is probably originally built in place but then moved?

I'm not quite sure.
It was a real house, just built in another location, then the house was purchased, but not the land, the house then had to be moved to a location that the new house owner owned. This happens fairly regularly in my part of the country.

Well yea but.. manufactured homes ARE real houses lol. I know they can differ in quality but I’m not talking about a motorhome or something on wheels.
These types of manufactured homes.. or “houses that are moved?”... are what we’re talking about, right?

Thanks for the birthday wishes. So far it's been a wonderfully lazy day. I even got to sleep in! :woot

Oh my...I got teary eyed! How neat is this!
Were you and your friend just standing on the side of the road?
I LOVE the corner window!

I was thinking about you this morning, wondering where you disappeared to. You vacationing fiend! I agree, Kiki is insane and Sabi’s gremlin gives me nightmares.
Sorry about your rooster and plants. I hate leaving my stuff in other people’s care, something always goes wrong huh?

That is a super cute window. Would make an awesome little reading nook. :love
In our neck of the woods, often people buy older cottages and have them moved to a different location. They are not manufactured or trailers, just great old (often 100 year old or older homes). We have an old plantation home that was moved decades ago about 1 mile from where we live, in a much ritzier section of town.
Ah.. so, these houses weren’t built with the intention of being moved then? How do they put them on a trailer?
That’s so interesting, I’ve never even heard of this!
