➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Having dirt in there with them is good. They can get trace (essential) minerals they ordinarily wouldn't get in above ground cages
We just had some new fences put in and they dug all new post hole things so I have a lot of dirt laying around.
With the way I clean the piles of dirt might last me a few good months.
After I run out of that I will have to look into buying some dirt.
I prefer dirt over sand.

It's crazy! The wind was really whipping - you can hear it in the video I took! I wish the tide was a little higher, it's bonkers looking when the water just keeps sucking into the well and never filling. There are much better videos than mine on the YouTubes.
For some reason I though this Thor's thing was a band.

I had to ask Google about Thor.
Did you go to see the Sprouting Horn thing too?
Or did you already say you did and I thought it was another music group and totally missed it? Geez I guess I should go back and look but I am in a hurry.
I only have 3 minutes til I have to go for the night.

Sprouting horn too! The whole of Cape Perpetua is pretty incredible. If you ever go to Oregon, it is a neat spot. Yachats is an itty bitty town with not a lot happening, but the beaches are incredible and the rock formations are a sight to behold.

175 pages later and I'm caught up... only to leave again and fall behind another (likely) 200 pages.

What I've gleaned from those 175 pages:

1. @Tesumph looks like Emma Watson with her pixie hair.
2. @KikisGirls cleans her dog's water bowl on a daily basis. AND her chicken waterer, also daily. She is completely insane.
3. @Cyprus is having some caretaker issues and straight bad luck with some new hatchlings.
4. Tessie lost a rooster to a snake (great necropsy pics, btw). I learned not only what a snake attack looks like but also how rooster testes appear. I'm glad it was the EE you couldn't stand and not one of the favorites.
4. @littleprairieheartsfarm had some doggie issues. Hope your pup is on the mend.
5. @Pugsabi has the most terrifying napping companion I have ever seen.

I returned home to a missing rooster and a greenhouse full of nearly wilted plants as well as some very hungry pheasants (they were completely out of food). I give mom a fail for watering though I was able to revive the plants and they will be fine.
RIP Marilyn Manson. You were a good roo - you will be missed.

ETA: @The Farmers' Daughter literally got a house delivered!!! It's so cute! I love old farm houses - congrats!

Sorry about your roo. That stinks.

I'm the worst when taking pics... Here are a couple of the well and a couple of the beach outside the round rock house we stayed in. Plus a couple of myself and the man.
That is amazing! Geez I bet that was so cool to see in real life, such a beautiful sunset too.
And y’all are totally adorable, looks like you had a blast.
