I grew up without a television at all. I remember my dad plugged a VCR into our old dinosaur computer and we were allowed to watch one Disney movie or something every couple weeks.
When our house burned down and our new house was done, my parents ended up getting a television. We didn't have cable so it was pretty much for movies only other than FOX 13 which incidentally had The X-Files on all the time, and thus a fan was born.
My dad went crazy and put in surround sound (0-60, right?) and we watched movies at an incredibly high volume. It was amazing!!!
I love shows, but I can't do cable and commercials... just awful! I stick with Netflix these days. They've got lots of foreign, dark murder shows for me to enjoy.

Sherlock and Supernatural. They're on Netflix. Which, by the way, I just signed up for for the sole purpose of watching Supernatural. It's much easier than pirating it off the Internet, which was an exercise in the strength of my Antivirus software.

I wasn't allowed to watch TV growing up and hence had zero interest in watching it as an adult. I saw I Love Lucy as an after-the-fact tape, but that was pretty much it apart from what I picked up at random other locations.

I LOVE Sherlock!!!! I tried Supernatural, but I could not get into it. You're 1 for 3, Banty.

Correct. One month to go. :celebrateI finished catching up so I'm starting over at series 1 again. :oops:
I think supernatural has close to 300 episodes, so nope, I'm not going to be running out of stuff to watch any time soon...
