It is better when they hit the outdoor brooder. i'm not big into indoor birds!

Indoor birds are gross, especially ducks! The smell alone... I have made that mistake one too many times. Never again! I'm all about that outdoor brooder and the heat pad these days. Did that with the last two groups and I will never go back.

I would only add that certain varieties of potato need to be cured before cooking

Please name them. I know that sweet potatoes need to be cured but had never heard of this relating to regular potatoes which I have eaten raw or cooked without ever "curing" them.

Scrape off the skin of small potatoes. Boil five minutes.

Leave the skin on small potatoes, boil until fork tender and then wipe the skin off. Add melted butter, salt and pepper and enjoy.

Went to TSC tonight, they had cute duckies and lots of chicks... I totally did not give into the temptation to buy more chicks...

I think curing is only beneficial for storage purposes in regards to the standard (non sweet) potato.
