I imagine Epsom salts would at least help by drowning them. When I gave a bath to a louse-y bird, it worked almost as well as permethrin.

I have read in an actual real poultry book that bathing can at least get you a good start on killing them all...but it is good to follow up with something stronger or at least sanitize the coop and get new bedding.

Their incubators were full. They had overflow.

No no no! I didn’t mean it that way, I just meant that them being older isn’t always the case. Their incubators make sense but still, as a breeder I personally wouldn’t sell eggs that were that old.

On a serious note I think mold toxicity can cause neurological symptoms too.

I’m struggling to be polite. I don’t want to assume, but the condition one’s property has to be in to be hosting salmonella and giardia is.. very disgusting. Lice infestation and mold ridden coop on top of that.
“Crude” protein (lol) is the least of their problems.

My stomach is turning. I need a break.

I seriously think it's the mold! I'm just jaw flapping but that's exactly where I'd put my money if this were a gambling situation! I feel bad for talking about this lady's thread, now! And she's going through so much.

I'm not going to lie I bet she has several other pets in less than ideal shape and that's probably where she got giardia. I'm tempted to ask. I won't though.

I just can't help but thinking it has to be cheaper to feed your birds commercial feed than what she's doing, right???
