➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Puppy fever can be cured by volunteering with a rescue or a shelter.

It isn’t just the cost of the dog but also vet care and most rental places have a 35 lb weight limit. Some charge ridiculous pet deposits and some even charge additional pet rent.

I would just volunteer somewhere until you get more settled.

I

should have read everything before responding! You got this!

It's okay! Thank you!!

And yeah, I could train the shelter puppies :D

And yeah, sorry, should have said owning rather than buying cause the initial purchase price is definitely nothing compared to the dog's lifetime. But theoretically, if they're healthy, the vet's would only be once a year, right? And our vet is pretty reasonable.

The apartment thing is definitely a bit concerning but I'm likely gonna stay here for another couple years at least anyway, especially if I go to dog training school here.

But for now I am going to volunteer.

Excellent advice! That would cool my jets for sure.

Yeah, I think I still want my own, especially if I start dog training school, but for now I think I will just volunteer

I was already thinking game fowl keepers with those well known lines were particular. I was just confirming what i thought. I don't have a dog in this race so I say do what you do.
in the spring if you want a stag I'll give you one. Now I've culled down to what ima keep. I don't ship chicks I do ship eggs 120.00 a dozen

Wasabi is 6 months old. His birthday is Valentine's day.

*Busts through wall* Did someone say candy?

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. I, on the other hand, start having withdrawals after about four hours with no internet.
The Faker's bday is Feb 10th! They are just about the exact same age!

Gator pooped right in a garden thing on the walk lol he NEVER goes on walks or if he does, definitely not in a garden, so I didn't bring any bags. So I had to walk Gator back to the house, get a grocery bag (partially because we don't have any dog poop bags and partially because he is a literal BEAR and those likely wouldn't work anyway) and walk all the way back down to get it. And when I was walking down there I saw this guy with a dog or two partly up the street. I hope he didn't see the poop lol oh well

Pooped right in that island. :barnie

Very pretty out there!

What is everyone up to?
Lindi has a decent amount more energy after being fed some more. She is "sitting" up. I did an eye check on her because I noticed she was acting a little blind. She appears to be blind in her left eye but can see in her right eye. Her left eye failed the light test multiple times.
That is the eye I assumed she couldn't see out of in the last video where the water was slightly to her left and she missed it was was swallowing like she had drank.

Also he was breathing really heavy by the end of the driveway and my dad says he was last night too (he took him) and they cut across the yard on the way back and he laid down and wouldn't move so he tied him up and a while later he was still out there but did finally get him up. He didn't lay down for me but my dad also gave him a steroid this morning. But he also didn't notice there was a fox by the chicken pen despite my dad trying to wake him up. I don't think he's doing so well.
:hugs Poor Gator. :(

Maybe you could ask the shelter if they have a foster progam, where you could take a puppy or young dog and keep for a while to train; that way the dog gets more likely to be adopted and you get a "new" dog to practice your skills and take to the training classes?
