➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Today is my lucky day I guess.
Decided to get off my arse and clean my room. While cleaning a found a $200 check made out to me that is still valid! :celebrate

Wow that's awesome!

I wouldn't diet if I were you. I know about a million people who are constantly yoyo dieting on the latest fad. Paleo this, Keto that, blah, blah, blah.
It's all about cutting out processed food and getting a little exercise in there. If you dramatically cut calories, it can cause your body to pack away what you do give it.
Give yourself one day a week to eat "naughty" foods, but that's it. Oh, and lay off the deep fried oreos!!!!!

Yeah, I'm definitely not usually into diets or bouncing around between them but I do at least want to try this one temporarily or at least do the cleanse because I do have most of the symptoms and want to see if killing off the Candida would help. Not really into it for weight loss or long term or anything like that. Because I do think most of them are the same and just basically about eating better and cutting the processed crap. Like you said. Which is why after this, I'm just going to go back to eating healthy but still keeping the bread and processed stuff away.

Same. I also wasn't allowed to have junk food. All these things that the other kids ate, I always thought were nasty when I finally got around to trying them. Always wondered what all the fuss was about! Needless to say, I thank my parents for raising me the way they did. I'm immune to the power of processed sweets!!!

We ate terribly most of the time :/

I mean, they did cook but we also ate microwave meals and junk food a lot too, all the typical snacks :/

With my kids if/when I have any I don't think I'm going to do that but I also don't want to be the mean or crazy strict one that lets them have nothing and no fun ever or anything.

But my cousin lets their toddler and little kids drink Coke and my friend eats like ONLY processed crap and white bread.. At least my parents were better than that at least lol but still processed

LUV Soda just as much as the next person (and I've told this story on this site before...I think) but about 10 years ago when Coke and Pepsi were putting out the different versions, I had poured a cup of something at work and knocked it over (I'm a klutz by nature) and it spilled on my watch and a bracelet I was wearing. The soda "ate" the enamel off of the beads on the bracelet. Needless to say...I did not attempt to drink any of it.

X2 to all of this. Just find healthy foods that you like and try to keep them around.

Prime example of my sugar/junk addiction: same exit as a Wendy's. Stopped to get a Frosty and 4 piece nugget. :( only a small chocolate but still. Shouldn't have stopped at all. But it was also only 50 cents. Though I didn't know that till I got here. I just wanted one. It actually prevented me from getting a bigger one. I have quit other stuff before so tell me why quitting my other thing was easier than quitting SUGAR of all things? And okay, maybe it wasn't easier, I'm probably not remembering right. But still. Feels like sugar is harder or at least I have less will power and aren't trying as hard? Idk
