They’re getting so pretty!
They won’t make noise really until mature in a couple weeks. You’ll get the odd crow from the males, soft mumbling from the hens and there’s an egg song squeal they do.

I can't wait to figure out which are the females!
Hurry up few weeks.

Lol it's a good stress. Sort of. I always like pause shows doing awkward or suspenseful moments I'm like "ahhh I can't watch" LOL I always do.

I like the show but I cause worried she was gonna get killed cause of we'll say a choice so I don't give it away but I should've known she's too smart for that lol

These boys are pure langshan right? Where did your langshan come from and what color eggs do they lay?

They’ll probably be temporary until I can figure out a better way to do this, they aren’t very bright but maybe they’ll make a bit of difference.

I think it might just happen.
I will be a mess the whole time, not being able to be there to constantly candle.
I will probably have to go early every morning or just after school daily.

This just reminded me that I have a few strands of led battery operated Christmas lights that I bought to put inside my cage and totally forgot to put them in!

You should be able to tell with the pharaoh coloured ones any time now by the breast colours. Just need the adult feathers to come in.
The red breasted ones are males and the speckled ones are females.

I am going to need to figure out how to set up a dark room so the kids can take turns going into a tent like set up to see when I candle.
Do you think she is going to let me come and candle them and show the class.

I bet she would! What a great learning experience that would be! I think you should show them how to track the tack the growth and everything. You are the perfect person to teach kids this and they will love it!

Take pics and I’ll try to ID them. Anything rusty coming in is likely male. Sometimes they’re hard to tell for sure though.
