➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Keep in mind the marshes are in the southern half. Like south of I-10.

Most stuff north of I-10 is dryer. They put I-10 in mostly dry part but close enough to see the marsh. Except for running through the Atchafalaya basin. The 18.2 mile bridge is impressive.

I collect the cardboard flat things from the grocery store that hold stuff.

I picked up a few almost every day because I use them in my coop on my poop tray too and it is so easy to just remove one and put another. Takes all of one minute.

I was using them for the dirt trays in the quail cage but I decided to go all out and spend two whole dollars on some pan things from the dollar store today.

I was going through too many of my stash too fast changing out the quail's dirt.
(I just trash the whole thing and add a new one with new dirt)

I am thinking I will now dump my new pans into a bucket and refill with fresh dirt.

I actually built my poop tray in my coop to fit/hold these type trays. I knew I was going to have an unlimited free supply of them and figured out a way to use them.
(I am bad)

Well... tonight my hubby and I did the pick the duck up and kind of try to turn it on its back to see if it quacks or squeals and/or is raspy. We either have 4 males and 2 females or 5 males and 1 female. :hit I thought for sure that the littlest one was female. She definitely quacks and is not a raspy one. Is loud. The only thing that bothers me is that her bill is turning green, which I thought was a male thing in Rouens. I was so hoping for more females. Xena is definitely female. The biggest Rouen is definitely a male and the 3 Pekin are males. I guess I need to try and get some video of them and post it and ask for opinions. They're only 7 weeks so no drake feather yet. I also need to decide if we're going to eat or rehome them. I'll keep 1 tho. Probably the Rouen. Idk. :barnie
