I am making myself worry-sick again. Not garden shears, they are quail shears. You can do it Kiki! Think of how delicious they will taste.
I am pretty sure I will have a helper so it shouldn't be that bad.

You have snow?! We just got our first rain since spring on Wednesday. It could be worse. It could be like here and the white stuff is coming down.
Yes, but remember I did not say the "S" word only that the white stuff is coming down. It's 35°F so nothing is sticking, yet.You have snow?! We just got our first rain since spring on Wednesday.
For me, the hardest part is making the decision to do it and picking a firm day. I always feel the worst, the night before, as I'm feeding them their last meal. (BTW, as long as you don't leave them access to food overnight, they should be fine. I've never fasted my birds longer than that).I am making myself worry-sick again.

I'm ready to do it RIGHT now. I just don't have a helper at the moment. For me, the hardest part is making the decision to do it and picking a firm day. Then, in the morning, we put our game faces on and concentrate on doing the task at hand as quickly as possible with as little stress to the birds as possible.
You can do this. The quail will be delicious and you gave them a GREAT life.
