I came home to see a gigantic red-tail hawk sitting by the grow-out coop. Found who killed Ditzy. Luckily we have them all locked up so it couldn’t get another free meal, but they’ll have to suffer locked up for at least a couple weeks until it moves on.

Lockdown on the agenda over here too as I lost my first bird to a predator this morning, hawk I guess. Its going to happen when you fly birds but still sad. Rest in peace Snowy Night.

We’ve been searching the ends of the earth for some Cayuga ducks, ducklings, hatching eggs, something! Delilah is so panicked, she’s screaming for Ditzy and only calms down when we are with her.

I have Cayuga cross duck hens and Pekin Ducks laying eggs. I have the crested gene. I'm in central Oklahoma. If you are interested in me sending you some pm me an address.

We found some ducklings in our area, not Cayugas unfortunately, but we are going to see if that will work. She’s always been a calm duck unlike her sister so she may take to them better. I will definitely keep you in mind though if that doesn’t work out. Thank you so much.

Edit: there is an Atwood’s that says they have “solid black” ducklings, fingers crossed!

Hey @Pugsabi I'm WAY behind... What ever happened with the murder box?

I received the second box but it was just as underwhelming as the first so I cancelled it. I usually enjoy subscription boxes but this one was not worth the money. It was $30 an 'episode' and 6 episodes for the entire case so roughly $180 per case. If it had contained more goodies, I would have been able to justify the price but it just wasn't even enjoyable.
