I’m sorry Prairie. It wasn’t meant to be, but another piece of land WILL come along, and it’ll be bigger and better too. Patience is a virtue!

When you’ve been waiting 5 years for that perfect house, it starts to get old constantly being passed up.

I got my first after molt egg on Christmas day.
Today I got two more eggs!
My chickens are starting to lay again.
Who needs some eggs?

The quail are laying machines...I have eggs coming out of my ears.

We’ve been getting ~10 eggs per day from 15 hens.

Not a possibility. Can't just move to somewhere where there isn't a job lined up.

Well, my big news backfired as usual..

We had a bid put in on a house that had been sitting on the market for months with no change, no offers, 6 acres, and at our budget and we just got word that "they accepted the other offer" that was conveniently turned in right as ours was. There was spots for expanding and getting our potential petting zoo/mobile pony parties in order. I just don't know why we're supposed to be stuck in this ridiculously awful home that we are at right now.

And the country is big and you are going to vet school, right? Once you graduate, you could start your practice anywhere. And there are vets in most every city if you don’t want to start your own. You will find a place.

And maybe I am crazy but I am probably doing that exact thing aha planning to either save a bunch of rent and find an apartment somewhere fun like a city or save and buy land and/or a house of my own. Probably should worry about the job first but I’m looking at where I want to be first aha

I’m wanting to get my parents set up before I go to vet school. Plus with all the debt that I’ll incur will mean that finding my own place with land will be a while after college
