➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

We had a bid put in on a house that had been sitting on the market for months with no change, no offers, 6 acres, and at our budget and we just got word that "they accepted the other offer" that was conveniently turned in right as ours was. :( There was spots for expanding and getting our potential petting zoo/mobile pony parties in order. I just don't know why we're supposed to be stuck in this ridiculously awful home that we are at right now.

When you’ve been waiting 5 years for that perfect house, it starts to get old constantly being passed up. :(
We looked 8 years for our farm and commuted an hour each way to our jobs for 9 years.
Where there is a will, there is a way.

Ahhh okay. That makes sense and is nice of you, although I am sure they will be okay :) and hm that’s true
With how everything is set up right now, it's not easy to do any of the feedings/waterings/cleaning without more than two of us at one time. That's why I was hoping that we could get this house because the set up would work perfectly and be so much easier.

We are prepping for an ice storm and 6 inches of snow to follow. I put extra hay in the duck pen. We filled 5 gallon buckets with water in case the electric goes off from icy limbs taking down power lines. In the country...no electric means the well pump doesn't work.
:fl
We have been without electric for up to three days before.
The generator is filled and ready but does not run the whole house. We choose what gets the power.

Be careful! Hopefully it's not as bad as they are saying it will be. :fl
We've had a no power, no water situation before too. 5 gallon buckets become your best friend!
