I wish I could, but I'm at work again. My last day at this job will be on the 20th. I cannot wait eagerly enough!Go back to sleep Sabi...we will be here when you wake.
Thanks for checking in...I was getting worried!
Nutty set quail eggs today!
Oh my goodness! You have certainly had it rough.Hello everybody, I'm back!
I hope you all had a great Christmas and a happy new year!
I'm okay, nothing terrible happened to me. I just was super busy and had a case of the winter blues.
I'll put my goings-on under hereAs most of you know my brother and his wife just had a baby in July, well Leeana had just enough maternal leave and vacation time to take 12 weeks off. She went back to teaching and I pitched in the help baby-sitting Riley. The plan was to only spend a couple hours a few days a week pitching in amongst the whole family. That didn't happen.
My brother's job voluntold him to work 12+ hours 6 days a week to cover some of the other engineers as they went on vacation. My sister got a promotion, so she was unavailable, her husband just got a new job so he was out. My father is useless with babies and my mother works long hours. Her sister, also a school teacher, is a single mother of two rambunctious boys, and her mother, like my own, works long hours.
So that just left me.
Of course that also meant that I've been working 12 hours a night all weekend and then turning around and working during the day all week. I've been so exhausted. Everytime she sleeps, I sleep.
On top of that one of the people at work quit without notice and I was one of the only two people in the factory that knows how to run his machine. But since it had been over a year since I had touched the machine I also had to squeeze some time out of my sleep schedule to come in during the week to retrain.
So every minute I can, I've been sleeping. Even during winter break, I've just not been up to do anything hence the winter blues. I've just been lounging around to lazy to do anything.
My brother, because of the way this job has treated him, is on the hunt for a new job. They have tried to find a daycare, but the ones they found have either been on wait list or untrustworthy. So they asked me if I can watch her on a more permanent bases until Leeana quits her job at the end of the school year.
I said yes, so I'm turning in my two week notice in on Monday. I had already planned on giving notice anyway because I want to change my career to either social work or human resources so it wasn't that big a deal for me.
Hopefully soon I won't feel so tired and can interact more with y'all.
Oh and out of my six girls, four are laying.
Is Fat Legs crawling yet?I wish I could, but I'm at work again. My last day at this job will be on the 20th. I cannot wait eagerly enough!
I'll try to check in a little more regularly.
LOL! Nope, I'm going to use self control for a while. As far as shipping, you can use foam for chairs that you get JOANNES https://www.joann.com/soft-support-foam-36in-x-22in-x-2in-thick/15075807.html and cut it to size for your priority mail box. Not necessairly that one but that kind of foam, then just cut a wide slot to insert the eggs.@dpenning Are you ready for some eggs?
Don't feel any pressure to fit in BYC.I wish I could, but I'm at work again. My last day at this job will be on the 20th. I cannot wait eagerly enough!

Day 0 for quail eggs! The incubator is holding at 45% humidity and 100°F on the mercury thermometer and 99 on the 3 digital ones.
@Pugsabi - incubator with fan installed working great. Thank you Incubator Fairy!!!
@BantyChooks - I hope you understand this is your fault in more than several ways.
@Texas Kiki - Let the fun begin!
Not quite yet. Although she can hold herself up in crawling position, she's still very wobbly and gets tired easily. We are working on rolling. She can almost sit up on her own, but had a tendency to go topsy-turvy when she's trying to get a closer look at something. She has also finding her voice and likes to screech like a pterodactyl randomly. Is Fat Legs crawling yet?
