➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

@littleprairieheartsfarm, I picked out my goats! I went with standard Nubians. The price for minis is just too ridiculous. Paying hundreds more for moonspots and blue eyes... I couldn't care less about those things. I couldn't even find a reliable breeder with kids for under $300. Not happening.
The gal out on the Key Peninsula has gorgeous goats, a clean herd and they are $100 for doelings and $75 for wethers. Three generations on site so you can see their milking lineage.
I picked out a pair of twins. One doeling and one wether. I'm so excited!
You pick your babies yet?

Glad to hear your pup made it through surgery and is doing better today. :hugs

How awesome! Goats have been put on hold since the unexpected surgery took the money for them from us. I had my eye on the most handsome little moonspot buckling mini nubian (we would have wethered) and a beautiful little tri colored doeling. They're both sold now. That's okay though, I'll get my goats probably later in the spring.

You’re getting goats!?

You’re getting goats!?
I am. I grew up with goats up until high school when my mom got sick of paying for hay. They were always my favorite animals and I've not gotten the opportunity to have them until now. We built a barn last fall and we are getting our goats this spring when they are weaned!

I'm envisioning manure as a sort of mayonnaise at this point. Delicious, natural sandwich lube.
Did someone mention lube? How about a 55 gallon drum?

Awesome! I love goats. I wanted some but then I heard they were kind of a PITA, hard to keep contained, so then I kinda wanted sheep. But goats are so fun.
