➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Wow that is small. My barred rock and BAs are beasts lol of course they also eat all the treats but still. They are seriously MASSIVE. But they are also 3 years old. My BO’s are starting to fill out some too. They were tiny for a while. I think sometimes chickens, like dogs, take a couple years to fill out.

Okay, larger than I thought but they’re height wise and egg size wise the same as my homegrown 5 month old pullets who weigh in at 4.7lbs and 5.4lbs

BR - 4.4lbs

NHR - 5.6lbs

RIR - 5.2lbs
Wait I reweighed my homegrown pullets and they were 5.6lbs and 7.4lbs.

EE - 5.4lbs

Rooster - 9.4lbs but he’s been in a weird molt phase and not eating as much as he should be

Oh and Cackle is in Missouri so that is not too too far. OH (where Meyer is) may be a bit far for you but they have good packages. Although they are pricier. But they shipped mine and they arrived the next day, I actually wasn’t prepared for them to get there so soon lol, and I am in MA. Plus Meyer and Cackle both have very healthy birds that can withstand the trip.

I weighed myself then weighed myself while holding them and subtracted the difference.

Thanks! Was thinking of doing that but don’t really want to take my scale outside and get it all much and don’t really want to bring the chickens inside lol but maybe I will sneak them in one at a time lol not today though, it is rainy and muddy and gross and I do not want to bring muddy chickens and also they have not eaten much today cause they were out of food and then even when I refilled it (and made them oatmeal), they still didn’t eat much because they have been hiding inside due to the weather lol so I will weigh them on a day when they have been pigging out :p or at least eaten a normal amount and not hiding indoors all day lol
