➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I am having this same exact debate myself right now lol I think I personally am going to get the IncuView. I think it is a lot more solid and thicker plastic than it looks. But I would get it direct from the incuview website. I think it is cheaper there. Same for hovabator

it's much sturdier than a paint tray... not that I would stand on mine... my sytophone has digs in it.
incubator warehouse makes the incuview, it was cheaper there than amazon when I got mine https://incubatorwarehouse.com/incu...yxYC8WN88RDB2Ao-oUtHJjPkRdDUpQCMaArPsEALw_wcB

Thx! It is always a great idea to check directly with actual manufacturer. I didn't do that. I actually have $100 Amazon gift card so that is why I was looking on Amazon.

I am torn.

I'm trying to think realistically about what I am truly going to use it for. As well as ratings, efficiency, recommendations I've received and easy of cleanability. I really don't see me doing a whole ton and hatching. I have a whole bunch of different breed of chickens so it's not like I would be breeding for quality SOP breeds for selling. So it would be small personal usage. If lifestyle changes on down the road and I decide to do more specific breeding projects or find myself wanting to hatch more for food, in other words if the situation warrants a financial upgrade of a Bator, it can be done at a later time. I think I am leaning towards the Incuview. I REALLY like the availability to be able to see in easier. It just looks so flimsy. Reminds me of a paint tray. I hope it is more secure than that. I guess that is the only thing that makes me hesitate. The hova-bator looks more sturdy but now I am concerned about the humidity issues that have been brought up. Living in TN, it can be quite humid already. I probably already answered my own self questions but this one: Does it remind anyone else of a paint tray and/or do you think it is as flimsy as one?
also Aart made a divider if you want to keep breeds separate https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/incuview-divider-pattern-and-other-hacks-by-aart.73966/

You can also use those plastic webbing little red potato bags to keep chicks separate

Grrr.. major pet peeve of mine. I REALLY hate that I proof read what I am about to post and then hit enter just to see typos or not the right words that I meant to type or incomplete sentences. :he I am sooo very glad that there is an edit button and that most people are used to all that stuff so even if you don't catch it, they can tell what you meant to say anyway.
There used to not be an edit button.
I am so glad there is now.

Ahhh okay. That makes sense then and it might be cheaper on Amazon then. I think the IncuView is $179 on their website.
