I have a friend who loves her IncuView.


Your Hovabator 1588 will be easy to tweak.
And the wafer thermometer is easy to replace.
I just order them from GQF...got an order today. I bought 4 wafers, new vent plugs and large egg holders for the egg turning shelves in my cabinet incubator...should work nicely with the duck eggs.

I have been using one of my Hovabators for a hatcher....have been for three years.
During the hatch this week the wafer started fluctuating. Two days into lockdown, the temperature began dropping to 95 and rising back to 98 instead of holding to 100. Decided to leave the eggs alone and not try to tweak the temp. When a wafer goes bad, the temp can spike higher if you mess with it too much. I kept the humidity at 50%. Fortunately I had a good hatch...two days longer than expected.
I'll change the wafer now and calibrate it for the next hatch.

That’s good to know!! I have heard good things about it but it is not as old a brand so wasn’t sure and I know some of you guys had said I should go for a cheaper one for my first incubator which is why I was saying it might be stupid but idk, I wanted to just spend the money on a good one I could have for a while.

Thank you It really sucks. I hate that he’s only 5..but that’s getting old for Mastiffs I haven’t let him out of my sight except for when I was losing it thinking that he was a goner and needed to calm down. He was giving me all the kisses earlier when he laid up against me on the couch.


He’s 36 inches at the shoulder in height, and probably 180lbs in weight. He barely fits in anything that isn’t a horse trailer. When we lived in the city, I would take him on walks and every single time I would get stopped by people who were driving by asking if he was part bear. I also had someone peek out of their window and suddenly dialed their phone, and mysteriously 10 minutes later a cop car drove down our road.

It’s definitely hard with be big guys!! Gator was only 6 1/2 or a little over. He actually would have been 7 this coming week, March 7th. it is hard with the bigger dogs. They get old so fast Of course Gator had his disease which accelerated his aging but still.

Oh wow that is a big dog!! I think Gator was like 30”. I’m not sure, sometimes I got 29, sometimes 31 or almost 32 but I think it was because of his thick fur made it higher lol but around 30” plus or minus a bit. And I think his highest was like 147 pounds although he might have gotten slightly higher than that or even hit 150, idk, we didn't check again after ha but usually he was 140ish. So not as huge as your boy but still big. And he was almost all black except for the white on his chest so he looked like a black bear

And OMG wow! LOL we have some really big SUVs so he fit no problem although he did also fit in the Camry he didn’t like it much though or ride in it very often and he couldn’t really stand.

And OMG did people seriously ask if he was part bear!?

And wow people called the cops on you!? WHY!? Did they think you illegally owned a BEAR!?

What did the cop say? Lol

Do you think the doggy kind is made any differently?
I wouldn't think so.

I don’t think so.. it’s all just CBD from hemp as far as I know. I haven’t researched it much outside of seizures.

Where do you get yours from?
I was considering giving Triumph the CBD oil that didn’t work for my seizures.

It works great. I used pot butter for my stinker's back end for years. It was the only thing that gave her relief and didn't knock her out. It also really helped with her anxiety.

Yes ma’am. I will keep you all updated. I was showering since he was doing well and then I heard him scream so out of the shower I went, wrapped in a towel demanding to know what happened. Apparently he got into a chair with my mom and his tail got caught in it.

Poor guy. No idea what happened in the first place? Just a big dog thing?

The cop eyeballed me walking my monster and then drove on realizing it was just a young girl walking a large dog. I’m guessing that person thought we had some illegal animal or something.
