I got my incubator today! We're messing with it now. Just added water to one of the channel thingies to see what it says for humidity. Then we'll do more. Just to learn what it will do etc. I am looking forward to learning and eventually hatching.

And wouldn't you know it... my neighbor, the one with all of the animals, told my hubby today, "Oh, I have an incubator still in the box that I'll sell to you." I don't know what kind it is. She doesn't know what kind it is off the top of her head and will take a picture of it and send it to us once she gets home. Would've been nice if I had known this a couple weeks ago lol. But who knows, we might get a second one as a spare/backup if it's worth it.

They will probably ship out on the 11th (mon) and get here the 12th (tue) or 13th (wed). I am sooooooo excited! I still need to go to TSC and get some chick starter. I've got time tho. Time sure is flying by.

Nice!! Mine just shipped out yesterday so will hopefully be here soon!! 3-6 days it said plus one business day for processing but since it already shipped, I assume it already processed lol I ordered it the 1st which was a Friday and kind of late in the afternoon so I assume it just didn’t get processsed or packed or whatever and shipped until yesterday, which is fine. Anyway, 3-6 days. I paid a little bit extra for that as opposed to 6-12 or whatever the other option was. Wanted it as fast as possible well, not quite as fast as possible. Wasn’t gonna pay the like $40 for overnight or 2 day or whatever THAT option was. but I think I paid like $14 something instead of $10 something for shipping. Wanted it as soon as possible. Also have harnesses for the dogs coming for skijoring since I measured them and ordered Sunday since I went over there. Also have a dog toy/training reward shipping which I actually forgot I ordered until I got a shipping notice yesterday I ordered some tug rewards a while ago as well as a jute ball on a string but the jute ball was on backorder so they shipped the tug rewards and I got those a while ago and apparently now the jute ball is no longer on backorder and shipped yesterday but by then I forgot I ordered it but I’m excited still. So I have 3 things that all shipped yesterday and should be here this week or next.

Oh wow, that stinks you didn’t know sooner lol but it might be a cheap/junky one anyway or maybe not but it is good that you got the kind you wanted. And now you can get this one and have two incubators and hatch more eggs.

I just went with the cheapest shipping since I wasn't in any hurry but it still went out pretty fast. Pleasantly surprised. I am not happy with FedEx tho. I hate trying to get stuff from them. They have been just a pain in the butt for us. Constantly deliver to a house that is NOT ours. Usually the day they say they'll be delivering is one day and it ends up being a day or 2 later. So basically when they get around to it. Yes we have complained and No it has not done any good. I am so frustrated with them. But I got my package and it's all there and not broken so that is all that matters.

Sounds like you're going to have all kinds of goodies showing up.

I ordered 8 chicks. Welsummer, Golden Cuckoo Maran, Austra White, Blue Andalusian, Blue Ameraucana, 2 Easter Eggers and a Lakeshore Egger. I'll definitely be taking pics and posting them once they come in. I can't believe the time is already here for them to get here. It seemed like forever and now it's like, Omgosh already?

Its good to have two incubators. You can use one as the incubator and one as a hatcher. That way you can do staggered hatches without any problems.

That is a good idea. I'll definitely keep that in mind once we hear back from her.

Such messy birds. Sure I’ll have to clean it out daily but at least they aren’t crowded anymore. My little fuzz balls are already starting to molt. So much faster then chicks.
