maybe. It is my first time hatching so I will probably be obsessed lol or I might forget about them probably not though.

And not yet!! But I am going to soon!! Working on the garden stuff first though since it is getting close to planting time. Well, not till April or May, but I need to start seeds and get the garden ready. And the brooder for my new chicken chickies!!

Not everyone does. I candled Tuesday evening when I was moving the eggs from the incubator to the hatcher. It is the first time I candled this year.

Unless there is an odor coming from the incubator, the only time I candle is to remove infertile eggs and early quitters when I move eggs from the incubator to the hatcher. In the case of an odor I may candle until I locate the source of the aroma.

That makes sense!! That’s probably smart to not open it too much and sounds like there is no real reason to.

Why do all horse movies have such terrible freaking acting?? They’re all so predictable too and so darn unrealistic. It’s actually laughable how just plain BAD most of them are.

Plum and almond bloomed out!

Coming in exhausted the past several days , but making headway on the pens. Stopping earlytodayto have dinner with the gd before she goes back to college.

Pens. On right 1st pen with individual cages and a small coop...pen is 6 X 26

Next two pens are 12 wide. One pen has the slanted side so the south side is 10 while the other pen is 12 x12. Each pen has two small coops.

All the little coops still need repairs and paint. They were made using shipping crates a few years back.


The two pens that are 10 X 10 and 10 X 12 have a single bigger coop.


Bubby doesn't get a bottle anymore, but licks his lips anytime I talk to him. Mom is getting better. In a small space with feed, she will let him nurse. And she licks him and plays with him now....slow progress.

I know I’ve been postig about this like all the time now anytime it rains but the pond is, once again, back and huge. Also the vernal pool in the woods is huge today too. Been raining all day and started last night. Wish it would stop but good for the grass I suppose lol first real rain of spring. It’s rained a few times but not the all day, totally ground soaking kind, so maybe it will trigger some spring growth.
