I should ask my dad... he's a truck driver. I did now, however, tell the detective that. I figured it might look bad or he'd want to call my dad, then he'd be all freaked out for no real reason.

I just got off the phone with a detective from Flagstaff, AZ. Apparently, there's a man in Houston selling stolen semi trucks/trailers and putting my driver's license number on the bill of sale. The DL number is from an old California license I had when I lived there about 13 years ago- my ID was stolen (along with my truck) 13 years ago... and someone sat on it for THIRTEEN YEARS before using it. Crazy.

I'm not sure... he's going to let me know if and when they catch the guy but who knows if that will happen! I'm suppose to let him know if anything pops up on my credit report that might help them find him.

How do you know that was a detective ? Did they ask for any info that could be used for fraud?

I got a letter from him and he left his number but I called the actual police dept first to make sure it was an actual open case and a real detective. It was, so I left a message with them and the detective called me back.
