➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

So, we did a thing this morning... Hubby saw a news report that metro animal control was full and they had a local news station sponsoring adoptions. We've been petless for a while so we had to go look before the "good ones" were gone ;) Brought home a tiny jaguar. Sweetest cat ever!

Awww so cute!!!

I turned around for a second the other day and when I turned back around, we had mud dogs :lau thankfully, even though Franklin looks filthy and I thought he might need a bath, most of the dirt just fell off and with a little brushing, he looked good as new :lau also... it provides some more pictures for the “Frank eye” folder :lau

I had a king snake fighting with a huge garter snake in my front yard one time. Then it started to rain and the garter snake was able to slip out of it's coil. We have a creek that runs through our front yard and our driveway runs over it. We've seen some copperheads down there before so we have to be careful. I definitely like having the king snakes around. I've been fortunate that I haven't had a snake prob regarding my chickens so far. Where in Middle TN are you?
We're in the rurals near Mt. Juliet. I presume we have every predator that exists in this state being forested on two sides and near water.

Yeah, that’s exactly what they were doing! LOL caught them in the act of digging!!! Although it wasn’t even that hot that day, 60s. Although I guess that’s warm compared to what it’s been lately, especially since they had a busy afternoon of playing. Actually, I was sitting in one of those plastic Adirondack chairs facing the other direction, towards the sun, watching them play, and I think they were even laying calmly chewing sticks, so I figured I’d sit, well suddenly they’re behind me digging in the dirt lol goofballs. They definitely were pretty pleased though and very smiley :lau

Yeah, I think maybe it must be. Also maybe more packaging because these were packed as two packs and I think the flat ones are just packed like a loaf of bread, in one bag. I don’t think I have ever had the caramel one but that sounds good.

Thanks, I’ll have to try that. Last night I opened like everything :lau when I first got back, I wanted to try the fava beans and peas which, btw, terrible. And then I was watching a movie so I got like all the snacks out. Opened the sweet potato chips but didn’t eat very many, opened the rollers, had a kettle corn, possibly two but I’m not sure, opened the regular popcorn of the same brand (the BCP one), opened the almonds and had a bunch, had a pack of peanuts out (we already had the peanuts) but I don’t think I opened them, etc. it’s bad lol
Only do a handful or two of almonds. Are they raw? Roasted are a lot worse for you. As soon as they're cooked the fat content goes way up & a lot of nutritional value is lost.
