This is one of the reasons why I don't watch movies
can't stand that they spend so much on special effects but get the basics so wrong
easier to stomach an hour of it on a program
sci fi is better because no one knows how it will really work anyway
Tom Baker Dr Who had a low budget and stuff that wasn't invented yet so I like that. Cheesy yes but it was entertaining to me

to be honest I haven't seen much new stuff
I have a tv antenna and mainly watch PBS and the news
some reruns I missed when I was working 2nd shift, The different Star Trek spin offs and Barney Miller.
My internet is too slow to watch anything and have to watch on the phone.. which isn't happening for more that a youtube
You'd think with those giant budgets they could afford to have a few specialists review the sets. :barnie

I enjoy science fiction books. I just wish they had a bit more science in them.

I like the movies where the guns go bang with an open and locked slide. :D
Then there are the movie guns that hold more bullets than physically possible.
"I can deflect bullets with ..."
flexible shield
arm bracers
and my personal favorite, "my sword".

Crazy Lady says, "suspension of disbelief is required. You don't have to believe it, but don't jump up and down on the sofa yelling at the TV. They can't hear you."

You are right. Parks & Rec hurt my brain. I've got better things to do. Even Dr. Whosit is more believable than ... well. Let me stop there.

I saw a scene once where a character cocked a gun twice in a row.

Deadpool can deflect bullets with two swords!

That's how we work too.
My schedule:
Up by 6:15 am....wind down by 8:30 pm.
A minimum of 4 potty breaks for the dogs each day. They are fed am and pm.
Usually a light breakfast and cook two meals a day and clean up kitchen. We do eat out once a week.
Chicks are fed and watered in the am and pm. Incubator settings checked daily. Chickens and duck fed every evening. (Still working on my coops. Need to clean out the deep litter and scrub the hen house and nest boxes in the barn.)
Garden and yard every day...(today I set out 36 tomato plants, 4 Classic eggplants and 8 sweet peppers, transplanted 50 Pak Choi, weeded the beet and carrot rows and part of one of the asparagus beds. Then mowed the yard and garden.)
At least once a week, I join in working the cattle.
During the day, I squeeze in my projects...like canning, sewing, paperwork for the farm, laundry, house keeping and errands....and BYC.

Roger's schedule
Up by 5 am and down by 7:30pm or after a late dinner. Naps about 3:30 or 4:30 for an hour when brother leaves.
Every morning..reads the paper and checks Craigslist and FB.
Brother arrives about 7am.
They then...
Feed the momma cow twice a day so she lets bubby nurse.
Check and feed the cow herds. Put out hay, work on equipment or seasonal farm projects. Herds are divided on 7 pastures....5 on our ranch and 2 on our satellite locations in Prague and Choctaw. Calving pastures are checked twice a day.
Goes with me to town on some errands and we both go to all his dr appointments. His are more numerous than mine.
He likes to help in the garden...hand water the garden beds and pick veggies.

Both of us are Busy every day....good thing we are able to stay busy.
