So quite a bit difference. I actually had a bit shorter but I like this length on me a bit better. It just depends on what you like. Look at lots and lots of pictures at varying lengths to see what you like. I’m sure there are apps out there where you can take a picture and play around with different styles. And always remember, it’s not permanent. It will always grow out. It also depends on what kind of curls you have and the texture of your hair. Curly hair is finicky man!

Oh wow that is quite a bit of difference!! It looks great though!! And you look way happier too in the second one!!!

But yeah, I definitely need to research. I think my family was always saying I should cut it short and straighten it but that’s almost more work than just brushing it daily lol

But yes curly hair is definitely finicky! I also found when I don’t use conditioner, it looks extremely dry and just a giant frizz ball but then when I do use conditioner, I discovered it curls really nicely and looks way better, so now I always use conditioner. Or at least right before I go somewhere so it has nice curls instead of just a frizz ball which happens even if it’s brushed lol

I wish I was brave enough to do colors like that. My hair is almost a brown/black. To get my hair to lighten up enough to take on colors like that, it would be so fried. It is a pita to try and put in light brown/tan/blonde highlights, which I will probably do again this summer. Over the fall I tried to do a light brown with purply red highlights. I wanted more of a red purple than a darker blue purple. If that makes sense. My hair went darker. You could barely see any highlights. I was so mad/disappointed. I ended up coloring over it on my own with "light brown", which looks "dark brown" on me. :barnie

Yeah, my hair is brown too, but nowhere near as dark as yours, but yeah, it would take so much bleach probably lol and plus I’m paranoid about all the chemicals in hair dye. Although apparently Manic Panic doesn’t have all that crap in it and they have some really nice dyes and tons of colors. So if I ever did do it I would use them. But I am afraid to ruin my hair lol

One time, I tried to use one of those highlight caps that you could buy in the store and tried to do blonde highlights on my own. It turned out AWFUL!!! I made an appointment at a salon right away to have them try and fix it. And one time, my daughter said, you should just try going with black hair since your hair is so dark anyway. I bet it would look good on you she said. So I tried it. I looked like a ghost. Again, it was AWFUL! Rushed to a salon again to try and have them fix it. She used so much of the color stripper on my hair trying to remove the black. To the point that she didn't feel comfortable using any more. Another one of my hair coloring faux pas lol.

OMG!!! Lol

I use to love to straighten my hair. It took me like 30 minutes but I still would do it. I loved having that versatility. I will still flat iron my hair sometimes, even with it this short. Of course, it doesn't take near as long lol.

My hair is fried. Bleach, bleach, and more bleach. It grows super fast, though, so I just hack it off as I see fit. I sure know what you mean in regards to not being able to go light! I just bite the bullet and toast it. Then again, I've been messing with my since I first dyed it down at the river when I was 14. My granny was furious.

Moihahahaha! Aren't we women a bunch of lunatics? The crap we do to our hair... worth it to find that perfect color, though.
