➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

That’s good at least! This one I found this morning when my thigh hurt and I checked and there was a tick kinda wiggling but attached and I just grabbed it and pulled it off. It fell but when i picked it up with tissue it looked like i got the whole tick? And I had one yesterday too on my calf that wasn’t really attached yet but kinda and that spot is fine. But I showered after I pulled that one off and when I got dressed this morning so didn’t notice any ticks until my thigh hurt (maybe from dog jumping on it?) and pulled it off immediately. So I think it is definitely less than 12 hours or 24 but maybe not? Maybe I didn’t notice it? But it’s right on the front/side of my thigh so I think I would have noticed a tick. But now it has that weird look (and it’s more red in person than it looks) and it also hurts too. From what I’ve read tick bites don’t usually hurt? So now I am paranoid.

Yeah that’s the weird thing, it definitely doesn’t look like those huge rashes on Google but then I’m kinda like well what if I can catch it early....

Trying to but kind of hard to when my thigh just non stop hurts and keeps reminding me it’s there lol but I’m going to try.

When I washed it (had to shower anyway) it feels a little bit raised up so maybe I just didn’t get all the tick parts out lol

So how is your tick bite today?
camphophenic will help with the itching if it still bothers you.

I forgot that we bought this gadget called Egg Dash or something. Rapid egg cooker. We probably bought it at Walmart or Kroger or something. It basically has a hot plate that you pour water on. A little tray that goes on top of it that holds 6 eggs and a top goes over. It has a point that you use to pierce a hole in the biggest tip of the egg. The hole stays upright and the more narrow end goes in the holder. Then it steams them to make hard boiled eggs. Depending on how much water you put in you can adjust how boiled you want the egg. I decided to try it with duck eggs since a while back Conan mentioned how she steams duck eggs. It will only hold 3 duck eggs because they are so much bigger. It works nicely! They aren't rubbery or taste funny from being over boiled or anything. The only problem I had was that on my duck eggs, it's difficult to tell which end is bigger and which end is more narrow. It pretty much looks like an oval to me lol. You can't do a whole bunch at one time but it works for me. I am happy. :yesss:

Yep, that's it. I don't think we got it from Amazon tho. I think it was local.

That makes sense. I’m sure you probably did, I just found the Amazon site while Googling and easier to link that. But according to Google they have it at most of the stores like Target, Kohl’s, TJ Maxx, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc. and I am sure Walmart. Though I’m not sure if all of those are that brand, seems there’s a couple other similar things, the electric egg cooker. But yeah, seems all the home type stores have it so I am sure you got it locally.

Steamed eggs, for the win! I do love a good fool proof method.
