Got my first shellless egg tonight. I was going to ask what was wrong with it but then I realized I’m pretty sure it’s cause they’ve been without oyster shell for a bit (kind of a while ) cause I haven’t refilled it yet cause every time I do they empty it immediately or it rains and ruins it etc. and I figured the layer feed would be enough but clearly not... that or they’re just getting old... either way, going to refill it immediately! Well, first thing tomorrow as it’s dark and raining now. And after I fill that I have to go buy some more grit too. Although they have been finding some in the run and I have some chick grit. But they probably need the adult size.

Anyway, I cracked it and no yolk either. Also it wasn’t completely shellless I don’t think cause it did have a membrane. And didn’t break when I picked it up. I carried it all the way inside. And in fact, it didn’t even break immediately when I dropped on the plate. From a low distance of course but still, was trying to crack it. It kinda bounced. Had to pinch it with my fingers haha
