➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

That looks awesome!
Thanks! Hopefully everything works out and we can bring it home this weekend. I have been at home sick for a couple days so I have been watching lots of YouTube videos on converting furniture pieces into reptile enclosures. I think this would work really well! And it would be waaaaaay cheaper than buying a 75 gallon tank.

I hope you can too!!

And that’s a smart idea!! Now you can be prepared! Ha although with the huge glass doors already, that seems like a pretty good start!

And yeah that’s true! Those things are crazy! I need a bigger tank for my goldfish but they’re so expensive. :hit might just use the pond liner we have but setting up a pond is such a huge project and expense and I’ve got way more important things to do atm haha

Oh forgot to say too that the veggies also taste delicious haha

I gave my mom a slice of cucumber to try today and she was amazed! She couldn’t believe it was a cucumber. She goes “that’s delicious!” Then goes “oh my God this has so much flavor. I wouldn’t have thought it was cucumber. I don’t know what I would have thought it was.” :lau so I guess that’s a win. :lau

The glass doors are a big plus. It will save several steps in the process.

Depending on the size of tank you need, you might be able to find a good deal on Facebook or Craigslist. In my area, it is pretty easy to find a tank 40 gal or smaller on CL. It is just the really big sizes they are rare/expensive.

Homegrown makes all the difference.

I found an article tonight that was useful and helpful and really explained a lot about myself haha and a short podcast too but haven’t listened to that yet.

Oh and I also emptied the dishwasher today. Doesn’t sound like much, I know, but normally I don’t really help out at all either  gonna load it tomorrow and maybe vacuum my room. After I finish organizing it of course. Got pretty far but still need to finish it and have a lot more laundry that needs to be done. Or I might do something outside by the chicken coop or in the garden if it’s not too hot. Cause I have a lot I need to do out there too.

Definitely! Saves some money too and I imagine mounting glass is a huge pain haha

ETA: forgot to answer the tank part haha I probably need at least a 40 or a 55 or 75. Those are harder to find though. We have a lot of smaller ones too like you said.

Yes it does! I HATE store bought cucumbers. No flavor. Tastes like you’re eating water. Haha This one I had literally just picked. :D

Still not a huge huge fan of cucumbers though. Still tastes a bit like water but definitely MUCH more flavor than store bought haha

Finally listened to it and it was the most helpful thing ever OMG. And there are others too. Definitely gonna listen to the rest ha

Store bought cucumbers are made of tears and ground up orphan boys. They're terrible.
