Liken. Of course.
Am I the only one who pronounces it the other way then?

In primary school we learned about presidents and I proudly stood in front of my whole class to give a presentation on “James Bunch-ah-nen.”Okay now you guys have me totally second guessing it and it does sound totally wrong as “lit chin”I think I alternate how I say it though. Sometimes I do say it the right way but usually not.

That’s the stuff of nightmares right there. Don’t be like me.
once you get that layer of sweat its ok. Also being in it since before or at sunrise your body acclimates. Its not nearly as bad as going outside at 2pm.You should come to Louisiana where the humidity is so high your sweat won't evaporate so your body can't cool itself. My husband worked in the chihuahua desert for years. Even though the temps were hotter it was arid. He said he'd rather work there any day or night, rain or shine, than a day outside in louisianas summers. It's worse here too bc I live right on the Mississippi River.
Yes it sounds horribly wrong.Okay now you guys have me totally second guessing it and it does sound totally wrong as “lit chin”I think I alternate how I say it though. Sometimes I do say it the right way but usually not.
