I have a fully stocked kitchen. I cook A LOT. I don't have a lot of gadgets, but I have lots of pots and pans, all well used. I have tons of jars for canning. I do dishes while I'm cooking so that I don't have any left to clean after I eat, barring the plate I eat from.
I have a fridge like anyone else. I have electricity and lights. I'm not Amish. I don't hang out in my room. I sleep there. I see no reason to have additional lighting in a room I sleep in. I also see no reason to buy clothes when I have more than enough crap. I have clothes from high school that I still wear, and I'm 37. Turns out, clothes can last a long ass time if you don't care about trends. I could probably never buy clothes again and be just fine.
I tend not to keep most physical books around. I have some that I collect, and tree/bird/medicinal plant identification books, but otherwise not a lot.
I am also not a fan of having a whole lot on my walls. I have a couple things, but pretty minimal.
I have a tv and I love watching movies and such, but I haven't had cable in about 15 years.
All in all, I feel like I could be much more of a minimalist, and I think I'll get there eventually. Until then, my bathroom drawers are filled with bleach, developer, and various wild hair colors. I don't brush my hair, but you bet your ass that it's going to be a cool color.
