Maybe these dogs will have a better life now.![]()
More than likely, the reality for those dogs is no future. They will most likely be euthanized. I'm not being all doom and gloom. That really is the likely scenario. A couple of dogs that are known to kill a bunch of animals will be viewed as an instinct that they'd be hesitant to allow to carry on to possibly happen again. Although I am not psychic nor am I involved but... I believe I am correct. It is a sad fate. If the owners would have been responsible, it could have been prevented. The owners surrendering the dogs to AC is moot. They probably think they won't face any trouble since they no longer own the dogs. They will find out otherwise if the neighbor continues to pursue for damages. I hope they do. It will be a tough lesson for the dog's owners to learn and I hope they do learn from it.

sadly you’re probably right. And that makes me more mad at the owners that they would surrender them knowing that. But maybe they truly didn’t know. Some people think they’ll always be rehomed and don’t think about euthanasia being an option. Or they just don’t care. In this case, they probably don’t care. Anyway, you’re probably right BUT I also think things are turning around somewhat in some areas and they don’t always euthanize dogs right away now or deem them bad dogs, especially if it was just prey driven and not true aggression, like an attack on kids or other dogs or something, even though it’s obviously still terrible, so maybe they will just rehome them to someone without small animals and/or more experience?? Sometimes they do that now and the dogs can be great dogs as long as they’re kept away from prey. I hope that is the case.
