➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I know a lot of people call it snake oil, but hers is legit from a medical prescription and store. I had my doubts until I actually saw progress. I have my lively pug back, which is nice!
I read a study that tested it... A lot of them had very low or no cbc in them.... which is why some people think it doesn't work... they got bad stuff

I also think there's 2 camps the ones that think it will get them stoned so they dont want to try and the ones that did think it would get them stoned and it didn't so it was not real/true

It's not even meant for a high. CBD without thc is pretty much useless with seizures. A lot of CBD is ineffective because it is made from hemp not actual marijuana with thc. Hemp derived CBD is junk!

I typed up an essay about Triumph’s appointment but deleted it all.

TL;DR— we ruled out some very bad stuff (bone cancer, cancer in his lungs, and any severely degenerated/thinning spinal discs).
We found degenerative disease in his elbows (either arthritis or dysplasia, doesn’t really matter).
We could not diagnose his neck and back pain without very expensive testing, so we are left with either soft tissue cancer, spinal nerve sheath tumor, or a herniated/bulging disc(s).
That being said he is now on NSAIDs (please spare me the lecture) and Gabapentin for nerve pain. If that doesn’t stick then we will be back to discuss steroids, but I’m not putting him through chemo or surgery. We are looking at quality vs. quantity of his remaining years.
so yea, good news.. I think. It was a stressful day.

I woke up with a horribly sore throat and a throbbing headache. Thankfully class was cancelled today.
Here's to his continued comfort, whatever time period that may be. I agree, quality over quantity.
I had to put my 7 year old Doberman down when his prostate cancer was no longer manageable. My vet was awesome. She was very straight forward and did tell me that yes, they could treat for cancer, and no, it wouldn't work. Said she had to put her own dog down for the same reason.
Take heart. Every dog is different. Andy, the best golden in the world (sorry, Triumph, you are second) lived 16 years. Sure, the last few he moved like a Chinese dragon, but he was a happy dog. He lived his best life. So shall Triumph.

I like vets that aren't just in it for the money. Yeah, they could charge you thousands but being honest is always best. I like that vet!
