No I live on the outskirts of the big city.

so people are footed a huge bill for a professional opinion, examinations, imaging, anesthesia, etc. and go “what! If you really loved animals, you would treat them for free!” Which, yknow, imagine saying that to literally any other medical professional. It’d be insane. And yet still.. somehow.. the majority of veterinarians are in debt and far from upper-class.
And no, the attitude toward vets is much the same here. People believe they overcharge and just want to milk you dry. I think most people share that sentiment.. I just strongly disagree with most people. ;)

You know, I've never thought of it that way. This offers a whole different perspective that I'd not considered. Thank you for pointing this out. One of those rare instances where a different line of thinking changed my view on the matter in an instant!

I think the real variable is us, the pet owners. We decide when our pets need vet care, and we all have different thresholds. I just wish people would take that into consideration before picking out a pet.
 
Hubby is still suffering with his cold. It has moved down into his chest. He has been coughing like crazy. Pulled out the Robitussin..not much improvement. Have him on Daquil/Nyquil and Tessalon Perles for his cough. Mentholatum and socks on his feet.
And made him a homemade Angel food cake and some potato/onion soup for lunch. Will make egg custards after the OSU game.

the only thing that comes close to doing anything for me is theraflu everything else is wasted money
