I know not all of them are, sure some are great people, like your brother’s neighbors, but just heard of a lot that are.

Like all the Amish puppy mills or leaving horses tied in the sun with no water or whatever.

But maybe those people aren’t real Amish people. I’m sure most are good people and are probably appalled at the ones that do that sort of thing. It’s just you hear about the negative more than the positive. In most things these days, even the news. People seem to care more about negative/shocking stuff sadly.

These ones sound amazing.

Cause I always hear people say they’re mean or rude or whatever too and I don’t think that’s true either.

We have a lot of Mennonite and Amish people in Virginia, they are some of the nicest people that I've ever met and they make amazing food!

I didn't know that there was Amish people in Maine, but they are up in northern Maine!

I know all about the puppy mills and stuff, but I think that is more in the Pennsylvania area. There are a lot who live there.

I wonder if maybe the Pennsylvania ones are different? Maybe since there’s more of a community there and they can be a bit more exclusive or something? Or maybe just statistically because there are more, there will be more doing bad things or the bad things will be more noticed by other people.

unfortunately the government was lobbied and decided that if one amish person works at the place, it can be called amish made.... even if they just sweep the floor

Yeah, I’m sure real Amish made is still good, just seems like it’s basically mass produced or they label everything Amish made now. I did not know about that thing with the government but it makes perfect sense now.

Hubby gave me his cold/bronchitis...started with the sneezing and stuffy nose and headache two days ago. Started taking Elderberry syrup, defense Hall's and moved on to Mucinex this morning.
Gonna make a hot oddly after taking care of all the animals.
