I don't really know much about NN's but I am leaning towards female. I know that the head is quite flushed but the comb seems quite yellow still and I am not seeing much in the way of wattles. That being said.... since there is a VERY obvious cockerel in the mix, would a 2nd male just be developing at a slower pace because of that reason? I mean, a cockerel may be slow to crow if there is another dominant male in the picture, right? Can it affect growth in the same manner? Am I making sense lol? I still lean towards female tho.

I wish my Silkie, Bowie, got that memo. He (and the girls) do get quite a bit of exercise from all of the running though.

Triumph is suddenly doing very poorly. He won't move, eat, or drink. I have never seen him like this and I'm scared he's dying.

Here are a few of my Bantams...with some large fowl for size comparison.


Blonde is Orpington...little hen and big Cochin hen.

The cages are 1x1 and 1x2 inch hard wire...might measure height that way. Serama hen in second cage.

These two barred are 1/2 Bantam.

I have put extra eggs on top of those in the auto turner so I didn't keep opening the incubator to roll the eggs. Then when candling on day 7, those found cups in the turner when I removed the quitters or clears.

Just got home. Brother got home early today, around 5, but I stayed for a while and then he asked if I wanted to stay for dinner. We ordered pizza.
