I'd say 12 weeks too.

I think I have 1 cockerel out of my Halloween hatch. I need to put up my new nesting boxes. I made cat litter containers into nesting boxes, but we never got to put them up this weekend because we were running around like crazy.

Thanks!! Good to know!! I now think I only have 3 cockerels as some of the ones I thought were don’t look as red in the combs now but I know I’m probably wrong.

We’ll see.

I think I’m definitely keeping one now.

Need to finish getting the coop built though.

And I’m gonna go ahead and set up another pen or two too while I’m at it.

And I thought you sold all the chicks? Or did you keep a couple?

I’m thinking of doing a hoop coop with bucket nesting boxes for one of them hah

The guy that I'm getting the three dozen eggs from just messaged me and told me that I don't have to pay for the eggs because he just wants some roosters and chicks from the hatchI'm thinking that he will probably want me to hatch for him every so often which will mean I will have chicks that I can keep!

I kept two of the white ones and two barred ones. I wasn't selling those because they were the only unique ones in the group.

What's a hoop coop? Do you have a pic I can see of one?

I'm going outside in about 2 seconds so I can show you which ones I kept. The white ones are the coolest chicks I've ever had.

The Orpington mix and the Easter Egger mix that I got are hilarious. They follow me everywhere.
