➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I need chicken eggs I think I'm holding off on quail. I'd rather get my chicken flock established to where I want it.

But I know you have those too

My hatch right now is going till January 26th. So any time after that I'm good to go

I want to add more chickens too.

But I probably won’t.

But with this palace we’re building...

I honestly might just sell all the chicks if they mostly turn out to be boys. Really don’t need more Orpingtons or EEs

Though I’ve always wanted a Welsummer....

But I feel like it’d be easier to sell/rehome a pair so she may have to go too

Thanks man i saw u stopped by, i was just about to the point of blowing him down when he changed his tune buuuuut it is my sales ad. It would look funny if i deleted it and it would def look bad if i told him about himself. You know if a potential customer were to go reading it, researching me as a breeder or whatever. So mightve needed someone else to step in where i couldnt if he wouldnt listen to reasoning. You stopped by at about the time it was squashed.

Also if anyone here knows where I can get duck hatching eggs from (no Muscovy, Pekin, runner, or bantam ducks preferred), aside from eBay let me know!

Did a quick search and it looks like Metzer Farms and Murray McMurray carry them but I have no idea on the pricing or if these are breeds you would want. Or if you even want hatchery birds. So sorry if this isn’t helpful.

totally understandable!! You’ve been buying from mostly breeders and/or breeding your own? Saw some of your chicken projects on that 2020 project thread but haven’t gotten through the whole thing yet. Do you have ducks now? I really want some but my dad doesn’t like them for some reason (I think he’s scared of them) so for now have to stick to chickens and maybe quail.

I got my first pair of ducks last February I breed from my own but want to introduce new blood to my "line"... I raise Khaki Campbells that carry the crested gene, as well as call ducks.
