Besides hawks, raccoon, and opossum eating a bird thru a fence, we should also consider the skunk as a predator that does the same thing. A skunk does eat the flesh, drinks the blood and often crushes the head to consume the brain....per my experience with skunks. Does the weasel do the same?

It's a golden comet and I think it's just reached the end of its life. I offered to give her either spook or Wednesday, the two white chicks that I kept from my Halloween hatch. They are almost at point of lay I think. Their combs are starting to get red not cockerel red, but you know what I mean. They're 12 weeks. I think they'll lay almost exactly at 16 weeks.

Yeah I know. I have the red sex links and they aren't going to last very long either because all they're made for is to lay eggs and that's it. It sucks because the production birds like that are very friendly and you get very attached to them.
