➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

This morning is rough I'm having bad home sickness.

I'm thinking my body is getting used to eating. Yesterday was the first day I've eaten since Thursday. My body probably didn't know what to do with itself and probably why I got so sick.

I don't know what vegan food they'll have for breakfast.

My youngest keeps taking my parents phones and texting me 😂 he has his own phone unsure why he's using everyone else's... Kids 🙄

Just got told he's in a relay for the next swim meet, which means he's a top swimmer because only top times are accepted into relays.

My husband said that he looked up sepsis last night on Google and he had to shut his phone off because he couldn't read it anymore.

I don't eat yogurt. Dairy makes my stomach angry. My nurse will hate me if they gave it to me. Right now I'm living off popsicles. I ate some of that dinner and it didn't agree with me so I'm going to refuse food from here on out.
EAT.
Try to force yourself to eat do you can get better faster.

@Kiki I'm going to need your help with the duck eggs. Do they need a certain humidity or can I dry hatch them like I do my chicken eggs?

I'm sure I'll be hatching more stuff for this guy as time goes on.
They do need more humidity... Story’s Guide to Raising Ducks by Dave Holderread is well worth the money. I followed his instructions for incubating duck eggs and hatched all the shipped eggs that weren’t clears..

Isn't it amazing how we got it all done and worked too?
Somehow time management skills were lost as soon as I retired. I see why they call it second childhood.
I have been retired since 2012. It's easy to get in a rut and let things go.
Yep, the hardest thing is getting motivated to do things. I had a long list of projects I was gonna do- still have the list. I think it is because I had to time manage to get everything done when I worked for so, so many years, now I don't have to, so I don't. My circadian rhythm is geared to night shift work- which I did for decades. I worked days for 13 years, but my body never adjusted. Now, it is finally doing what it wants. I usually get up late, go to bed even later and nap during the day whenever my eyes close. Still, it feels better than working a job.

Almost 8 miles for the day

18000 steps

I have a daily schedule charted out for each month. I never look at it. After the first month of retirement, I just started to let things slide. Right now, the chicken coop needs cleaned out, the quail cage needs cleaned, the fish tanks need to have a water exchange, the house is dusty and the clothes need washed. But- I did read a series of books this week. I do take care of feed and watering and taking the three dogs outside. I need to get back in the saddle, but I have really enjoyed the hiatus which has really only been a couple of months - everything was ship shape for the holidays. Oh well, even though the house and yard police won't come get me, I really need to get back on schedule.
