Neither does NH and NH has no income tax either. Although the property taxes are pretty high in some areas I think.
Property taxes are high everywhere in NH! Houses are expensive too. My parents got a 4500 sq ft home in VA for the same price as a 2000 sq ft home in NH. The houses there aren't worth it in my opinion. Virginia even though it has sales tax is still an amazing state to live in. NH not so much! The people are much nicer too. NH is full of very unpleasant crabby people and nosey people. Think my father said property tax here is half the cost and also it's so cheap to register your car here. It's only $45. In NH I was paying $300+ for a 99 Ford mustang GT. Plus my insurance was sky high. The price went down in half when I moved here.

"New Hampshire is often mislabeled as a state with no income tax, as it does not impose a state tax on income received from wages or salaries. ... The bill proposes to phase out the tax by 1 percent each year beginning in 2020, until the tax is fully eliminated by fiscal year 2025."

7 States Without Income Tax

Wyoming tops their list because of the lack of personal income tax and retirement taxes.

Alaska comes in second and also pays out up to $2000.00 annually to permanent residents.

Texas is third but has high sales taxes and property taxes.

Washington is fourth but has high sales and local taxes.

NH is no sales tax not income tax... Who said it's no income tax

I'm waiting for this dang home nurse. She said between 9&10 it's 956 and she's still not here... I see that this nurse is going to irritate me just as much as I was irritated at the hospital. I'm going to be stressed for days 🤬 hope she does her job good or I'll be the first to put in a complaint. I have zero BS tolerance right now.

I’m sure she’s just running a bit behind or got lost or something and will be there soon. And technically she’s not late yet. I’m sure she’ll be there.

I'm probably going to use a scooter 😂

Sounds like a good plan!! Haha

Oh wow that’s amazing! I feel like it’s not just NH either. Everything is super expensive in this whole area. Houses are crazy here and my parents pay so much in taxes aha and yes definitely crabby! Think it’s the cold LOL but some people are just so rude!! I mean, I don’t have to be friends with everybody, that’s fine, but some people don’t even thank or acknowledge you when you hold the door or let them go or wave or whatever. I’ve even gotten dirty looks from people before for being nice  just the whole general atmosphere up here is not friendly. I’ve met some great people though so it’s not all bad but a lot of unnecessarily rude people aha

Plus it’s crazy high!

That’s why I’ve been looking down south or like the Midwest like Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, etc., or PA cause everything is so much cheaper out there! Haha

Huh, interesting. I always thought it did. idk why. I guess I have just always heard it was and never questioned it.

Although, no taxes or salaries or wages... does that mean like a minimum wage job or something would still be tax free? But bigger/corporate type jobs wouldn’t be? Or?

But yeah the sales tax is crazy in some places! Or like high groceries or gas or stuff like that it was saying.

That said, Massachusetts has income tax and we still have high taxes elsewhere too!!

We have high sale and property taxes and income tax. They just tax anything and everything here

Me. I really thought it was. My parents have even said it was. they mention it and Florida.

I really thought it was. Always heard that from people around here and had no reason to question it.
