➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Got a bunch of gloves and natural soaps plus some moisturizing cortisone cream, bag balm, and burts bees hand salve. All that outta help. :lau took me forever to decide on anything lol but I’m gonna start wearing gloves around the house and while doing stuff so I don’t have to wash my hands as much :lau and use the natural soaps instead of dish soap :lau

:lau ask if you can keep a couple of the runners!!
I'm going to once I know how many ducklings will hatch. He has a HUGE pond at his house so I know these little ducklings will be so happy. He's a huge animal person and I'm glad we met him even if it was to re-home our roosters, but it worked out in a weird way. Now we have a good relationship and if I ever need eggs he will give them to me. That way I can get new blood lines in my flock without having to keep more roosters.

I usually use loose leaf, but it's getting really difficult to find anywhere that sells it. I loved Teavana. Starbucks bought it and then shut all of the stores down. :(
We switched to Lipton. They make loose leaf.

Don't forget that eggs will cause heart failure. Oops, eggs are good for your heart due to the LDL/HDL mumbo jumbo. :lau
Use the rose hips (calyx) and steep like hibiscus calyxes.
The mint is growing, but doesn't have that spring time mintiness yet. I add 10 mint sprigs (tip plus 3 sets of leaves) to a half gallon of tea for a nice mintiness. Spring time is best.

Doing a little research, I've been over heating the mint. I plan to do better. Will try it at a lower temperature for improved flavor.

I do recommend the mint since if you have some planted, you have an excess. The chickens are eating the bits that poked through the protective wire. And I read on the internet that chickens didn't like mint. Hmm.
If you bruise the mint by gently rolling it in your hands before using at lower temps you get a stronger flavor.

Happy birthday to the little faker with floppy ears.
I hope so! Cause it’s delicious. :lau

And thank you for the warning!! I do appreciate it because I had never heard it before and it’s definitely concerning!! But I just wanted to look it up because I’d seriously be devastated if this one was bad for me :lau it’s delicious!

That said though, I do have wayyyyyy too much tea and I’m sure most of those are probably plastic or something

I actually should probably go through it and throw some out cause I’m sure some is expired. I always get it on sale thinking I’m gonna drink it and then don’t or drink a different kind

I haven’t bought any in a while though thankfully cause I was trying to use up what I had but that’s why I have so much :lau
I keep tea bags in a jar with a sealed lid and put those moisture snatcher gizmos in there. Helps to keep the tea dry.

His ears flop when he isn't feeling good.
It's weird.
I noticed this on his eye after I took those pics and realized he wasn't feeling good.
It isn't any worse today but I might take him to the torture place this afternoon.
