I wonder how often they break their lips.

I have never seen one with a broken bill. I would imagine that it stays pretty limber and doesn't crack because they are continually dipping into the water to feed.

Turns out mama of litter #2 had three boys and six girls. We might get a boy but we've decided we'd be okay with a girl.

I’m so excited to see your new pup! Are they going to let you come see it every so often before you get it? We did visits with my dads lab puppy every weekend until we could bring him home, it got to the point he would instantly know our vehicle and start whining.

Personally, I have always preferred female dogs.

Me too. I have all females. My parents have all males and they are different. I have only owned 1 male dog and that was from when I was 4 till 18.

I have heard male dogs bond better with females and female dogs bond better to males. I don’t believe it though because my dogs all listen to me not my husband and they like me more I do believe they know when I’m sick. Once one starts acting funny I message my dr and he loves her for it.

There are companion dogs that are trained specifically to alert when their owner is having medical issues.

Many have trained their own. It does help to start with a type that has highly sophisticated noses.

I was pretending to be Bob this morning... Taking pictures while at the grocery store.
This guy thought it was hilarious that I wanted to take a picture of his shirt.

And this one was in line with me at Starbucks.
I'm sure she thinks I'm nuts.
She saw me stop the guy to get a picture of his shirt and then I asked her to take a picture of her shirt.
She bought me my drink.
