Sorry kiddo. Bummer for your experience. As a longtime blood donor, needles are not even scary for me. The phlebotomist attitude however...... Is a very different animal. I volunteered in boot camp to be a pincushion for training them on my vascularity. Long standing joke in that circle is I have veins a drug user would kill for. (Smirks)

I have deep, hard to find veins. Getting blood work done sucks. Even long experienced phlebotomists often have to stick the needle in and twist it around a bit to get the vein.

Wow Kiki how old is your mini if you’ve already said or don’t mind saying? Because getting blood work done is probably the thing I would hate the most in the world

This one just turned 11 yesterday.
This will be his first time to get blood work like this done.

He took his shots like nothing... But he did say that it hurt.
We don't make a big deal out of things like needles, blood and dentists.
He's never been afraid.

He may not like getting his blood drawn but he'll know what to expect for the next time.
I think he understands that it's okay to hurt a little bit I just don't want him to ever be scared.

I have to get blood work done like every year. Since I was like 5

I have blood drawn every six months or so, I believe. Diabetes stuff.
The needle feels really weird when it's in your arm.

I had to get an IV once as well. I was 5 or 6. I had to stay the night at the hospital that time

Two years ago, I got really sick and had to go to the hospital. I was really dehydrated. I also got a ultrasound (twice, actually), the doctor thought I had appendicitis.
