⭐ Kiki's Year Long 🌶️

That's exactly what it means.

Elkton proper is 2 miles away. Gas station is open 9-430 Tues-Sat

There's a convenience store. Gallon of milk 4.50 type of place. Handy for those oops moments when two teenage kids drink 3 gallons of milk in a week vs the two weeks it normally takes.

My work commute was 44 miles. Wife's was 62. Hers is now 42 miles. One way.
Don't you have cows you could milk? I miss fresh milk.

I have deep, hard to find veins. Getting blood work done sucks. Even long experienced phlebotomists often have to stick the needle in and twist it around a bit to get the vein.
Me too. Mine also like to roll. To add to that I seem to never be hydrated enough and many times it’s taken forever to fill the tubes. I dont mind needles at all, if they're being wielded by experienced hands.

I was a blood donor for years until I pointed out to the blood drive organizer that they really didn't want my rare blood. After she checked it out, she quit asking me to donate.

Needles in the mouth used to terrify me so much that for many years I had dental work done without Novocaine.
Hadn't they tested it for whatever before? I thought blood had to undergo strict testing even if from a previous/routine donor. Or am I misreading your post?

AB- is the rarest blood type in the U.S. They don't have much need for it because it is rare. They like to have the rare types available on call just in case it is needed. Whole blood has a limited shelf life.

If you have a common blood type such as O+ or A+/- they are more than eager to take your blood regularly. If you are the Universal donor O-, they want as much of your blood as they can get.

AB+ while not as rare as AB- is also not very common and also not highly in demand. The other part about AB+ is that it is the Universal recipient while O- is the Universal donor.
Nevermind my previous post 🤣🤣

I’m making banana bread muffins.

You are misunderstanding my post. The organizer of the blood drive was the plant nurse where I worked. She knew everyone's blood type so put particular emphasis on getting those of us with rarer blood types to participate. I did not mind donating blood but I also knew that the blood bank was far more interested in getting the more common blood types rather than the rare types. They have much more use for O+/- than they have for AB+/-. I told her about this, she asked the blood bank who confirmed what I had told her. After that she quit soliciting us rare blood types for the blood drives.

Blood may or may not undergo rigorous testing after being collected. When I was doing this they only asked a few select questions at the time the blood was collected.
