I'll bite. What is sterilizer monitoring? Peer reviewed bacteria cultures?
Yes proper monitoring is running an inoculated strip through with a load of instruments each week and sending it in for culture. If you have 1 non-sterile, it is typically attributable to operator error (ie overloading the machine) 2 in a row typically signifies equipment malfunction and need for repair/maintenance

steam sterilizer or EO? What do you use?

Interesting bit of trivia. I assumed sterilizers were like dishwashers and always worked. Auto-magically! The wonders of life.

@BantyChooks

Did you ever try Ghirardelli? Does Lindt seem waxy in comparison? I believe we were talking about dark chocolate, 60% + Cacao. Oh, so long ago.
Ghirardelli is some good stuff. Not "great" but, a very solid good. Especially 60+%
Lindy does have a muted flavor... Yeah, I can relate to the waxiness sorta taste.
My Better-half discovered Lily it's 100% stevia sweetened and it's real nice
There are a few others I like that are good solid goto bars... But, I only get them when on sale and stash them away.... Nibble on them as treats over time.

Anything can fail.
Tell me it isn't so! My world is crashing down around me.

:lau

Next thing you'll tell me is everything wears out.

I'm in the market for an oven. The 20+ year old model is starting to lose it's mind. I replaced the computer/controller/black box 20 years ago shortly after buying this mansion and it goes and fails again. Can't really believe it. Tempted to just burn the house down and start over. It's a special order item that doesn't have a drop in replacement and the "controllers are obsolete".

They aren't obsolete. I'm still using one! Stupid computers will never take over the world with that kind of MTBF.

And the newer ones, with planned obsolescence is obscene.

Do tell. What is the monk's preferred nibble?

Do you put peanut butter on your chocolate? Do you chocolate your bread?

Electric or gas?
Just a drop in cooktop or a full range "built-in"/drop-in?

Yummy wormy. His name is Bernie. I stick him with a stick and roasted him in the fire. He was crunchy.

100% electric house.
full range/stove/oven thingy that is integrated into the cabinetry.
Turns out it is a custom (smaller that what is available) or no longer made and the new ones that fit the dimensions will stick out 4" more into the walkway.

Options are to fix this one with several cosmetic issues on top of the brain. Or modify the cabinet. Confirming we have enough room to play with first.
